...Welcome to my Beat-the-Nudge website!

WHAT'S NEW?
November 1, 2004

Another redemption machine has began popping up in various locations across the state that is paying dividends to those who take a minute to learn the many cheats and tricks. The game is called "Nudgemaster 5000." Read the content below and get to the nearest store and earn as much as you can before they remove these machines!

The Scoop...

It's a well know fact that video game developers hide tricks, cheats, hints, and demos in most games. Why do they do it? Well most often, they do it because it makes it easier for them to test their products. After many hours, days and months of working on a game, the programmers will start to insert these shortcuts. After all, if they want to test the jackpot animation, they shouldn't have to wait for a natural jackpot to happen, right? And, believe it or not, not all of the programmers may even play the full game. Some of them may work just on one specific part of the game without ever really knowing how the whole game is played. Normally, any project team would want to make sure all of these tricks get removed. But sometimes, there are things that happen that the team can't control, like a programmer that leaves the company without telling the company about all the tricks he left behind in the system.

I don't have the secret shortcut to the jackpot, but I have discovered a number of interesting tricks that were left behind by the programmers that developed this game. If learned, these tricks can help anyone make money off of this game.

:: Holding Down the Play Button ::

The programmers must have wanted to keep you from touching the play button twice during one spin of the reels because they turn the play button bright yellow or dull yellow. When the play button is bright yellow it can be pressed. When the play button is dull yellow it can not be pressed. I found this hint because the play button doesn't always change colors at the same.

It looks like the play button knows the outcome of the game. If the play button turns yellow there is no win on the reels regardless of which way you nudge the reels. But if the play button stays dull yellow then a win is possible and you need to find it before nudging.

Because the play button stays dull yellow, you can simply hold down the play button until the game stops and waits for you to nudge the reels. That's when you'll know that a win can be collected.

:: Watching the Nudge Buttons ::

(Which way should you nudge?)

This one is actually obvious after you see it once. And how it got through the testing team, I can't say. But if you watch the flashing nudge buttons, one of them may blink faster. If you see a button blinking faster than the others, that button will produce a win.

:: Watching the Reels ::

Watch the bottom symbol on the left reel. When the reel stops, it will briefly reveal the winning symbol before rolling away. If any win is possible or if multiple wins are possible, nudging back to that initial symbol will always give the best award.

:: Clover Bonus ::

Normally, only the left most reel will shift out of place. But if you see any other symbol shift out of place on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th reel, this is a major clue that clover bonus is available. By sure to nudge the clovers into position and claim your prize.

:: Lucky Land Bonus Screen ::

In the Lucky Land Bonus screen, you'll be asked to find the leprechaun.
You actually don't want to find the leprechaun because that ends the bonus.

If you can remember the last place that the leprechaun was hiding in the previous bonus round and you pick that spot first on the next bonus round, you'll be guaranteed to uncover a coin and not the leprechaun.

:: Watching the Reels ::

Watch the bottom symbol on the left reel. When the reel stops, it will briefly reveal the winning symbol before rolling away. If any win is possible or if multiple wins are possible, nudging back to that initial symbol will always give the best award.

::Golden Sand Dollar: Jellyfish - Bonus Screen ::

Another type of bonus that you will find in Golden Sand Dollar is the Jellyfish Bonus. In this screen, you will pick one of the bubbles left behind by the jellyfish to claim a prize.

:: Golden Sand Dollar: Fisherman - Bonus ::

Another type of bonus that you will find in Golden Sand Dollar is the Fisherman Bonus. In this screen, you will touch the fisherman's crates to reveal prizes. If a crate contains a boot, bottle, or tire, then one of your fishing lines will get shorter. There's no proven cheat for this screen. But I seem to get good results by following this pattern starting with the first box that appears: pick one, skip one, pick two, skip two, repeat.

These are just a few of the game cheats that I have discovered. If you have found any other game cheats please email them to me and I will gladly post them on this site.
